Hello all! My name is Rachel and myself, my husband and our 3 boys (4,3, and 10 months) care for our small farm (Alivian Acres) We moved in about 4 months ago. We live on 20 acres in a passive solar berm house, and hope to one day be as far off grid as we possibly can. We currently have 3 full size chickens (1 Americauna rooster, 1 Red Star and 1 Cinnamon Queen-they are about 9.5 months old) We also have 6 five week old chicks. (2 Barred Rocks, 1 Golden Buff, and 3 Rhode Island Reds) Our incubator will be here soon and we are going to try our hand at hatching chicks...thinking of trying our hand at some quail as well.
We also have 4 breeder rabbits that come spring will we will start breeding for meat. We are looking into Nubian goats and Dexter cows as well....maybe one day we will venture into pigs
