Hi everyone,
I'm brand new to chickens. I keep coming to this site to get answers to my questions so I thought it was time to officially join. I live in NJ and I'm a teacher so I'm off this summer. I have 2 children and we are all enjoying our chickens. We got a bunch of chicks from tractor supply. Bantams and Americauna. Unfortunately, we can't have a rooster and 5 of the the original 10 were looking quite roostery so we had to give them away. We picked up some more and are having fun with them. There are a few that still look like roosters to me. 1 is only 4 weeks and the other 3 are 12 weeks. No crowing yet so I guess we're okay for now.
Anyway, it's nice to be here and I look forward to getting to know more about chickens!
Have a great day.
