New Member and New to Raising Chickens

Thank you for all the wonderful information you share in this group. I greatly appreciate the knowledge you take the time to share. Here is a little about me and our small flock.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? - We got our first chickens May of 2020.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? - We have 5. Shocked my husband we have been able to keep all 5 alive from just 2 day old chicks.

(3) What breeds do you have? - All are Amberlinks

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? - The eggs, learning something new, and our son has so much fun with them.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? - Historical reenacting, kayaking, travel.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. - We live in the woods and love being outdoors. Hopefully we will be able to get another hunting dog soon. Having a job that entails working from home it is fun to be able to have the time and ability to care for our chickens and enjoy the outdoors.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D -Found you in some google searches regarding some questions I had. Now have an issue that I can't figure out and was hoping to be able to reply to some of the threads. Thank you
