Hatching
So... erm, hi!
I've been lurking and reading the forums for long enough so I figured I'd best become a member and introduce myself! I'm Ben and my wife and I are new Quail owners from Bristol, UK.
We got our first batch of Quail in April / May time but sadly these became victims of the local fox within about 4 weeks. The fox managed to smash his way through the wooden hutch (http://jerseycottage.uk/2015/05/20/brislington-quail-massacre/) so for our second (and current) batch of birds, I have converted our garden shed into a Quail house an these have been with us for about 3 months now. You can see the shed here, feedback welcome! (http://jerseycottage.uk/2015/06/01/introducing-quail-land/)

We have 7 Corturnix and 7 Italian golden with a male of each breed and they all seem to be getting on ok together. We are hoping to start breeding some soon, just for ourselves really to keep the numbers up and so we don't have to drive down to Devon to buy more next time around!
As I said, we are still pretty new to this and I'm hoping to learn a lot more from these forums and will try to contribute where I can.
Oh, and apologies if this is a duplicate thread - the browser crashed on submission of the first one and I couldn't see it in the list!
