we just got one egg to hatch, the father was killed by a coyote - the baby is in a brooder box at about 90 degrees. How long should he be kept that warm?

thanks, Megan

There are hatching emu threads on here, lots of emu people around. I check on them often. Can't have emus but I enjoy the stories and pictures. If you want to lurk go to Stella's Social Club thread, several posters have emus and often post videos of them - especially Kathy in Mo, and the Sheriff

The Sheriff (on Stellas social club forum) has mentored others thru the hatching process. I know it is important to weigh the eggs, they should be a certain percentage of weight as the days increase. I believe it takes 50-55 days for them to hatch at optimum conditions.
