New Member: Central Massachusetts

Hi everyone! If all goes to plan, I will be picking up 2 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Barred Rocks, and 2 Cherry Eggers on Wednesday. Thinking of maybe substituting some out for a couple of Bantams (if my feed store has any left), as my starter coop will be decently small (rated for 8-10, so really 6 ...).

What do you all think? Any thoughts/suggestions on this combo of breeds?

Can you post a picture of your coop? If it's a pre-fab, you may want to trade all of the LF chickens in for bantams.

Its this little thing, but we are planning to modify it a bit. We are going to build a bigger one after a little while, but this one seemed heavy duty enough for a starter.
