New member chick mom

Hi I just acquired six laying hens. I have much to learn and look forward to interacting with the group. My husband and I are retired military USN (him) and USCG (me). We live on 5 acres in Oklahoma with two horses a cat three goats and currently eight dogs. And the chickens. We also run an animal rescue and a pet care and boarding facility. Hoping that we can successfully add chickens to our menagerie. Look forward to meeting some of you.
