Hello from Sunnyvale, California.
We have enjoyed the resources available on this forum, and at the encouragement of a friend, I am joining to share my homemade coop plans in the 2017 Coop Article Contest.
We have had backyard chickens since 2010. Currently, we have two New Hampshire Reds, two Barred Plymouth Rocks, and a broody Buff Orpington. With a little training, our dog Maggie learned to get along with them just fine.
Not willing to give up our entire backyard, they have a fenced in run of about 15' x 25'. The girls are doing well, providing eggs for my wife and I, plus some to share.
