Hi! Long time stalker, new time member. My husband and I moved to a new house recently that allowed us to have chickens, so we built a coop and got started. We currently have six 3 month old EEs (I think they are all pullets. He went to the store and bought them without asking !!! So pure luck if they are.) And we currently have six Welsummers chicks which I am excited about. Those were supposed to be all pullets when we purchased them, but I have a feeling one will be a roo. And then, since my husband is the one that buys the chicks and chicken items when I work, he ended up bringing home a duckling. The person didn't know what type it was, it came from a school. I think it's a Muscovy and we are going to be buying a friend for it soon. Can't just have one duck.

So that's me! Learning as we go. I love looking at pictures of everyone's chickens!

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! It sounds like your flock is coming on very well for you. For any members if your flock that you are unsure about you could post in the what breed gender section. With a good pic I'm sure members there would be able to help you. Here is the link ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this

Wishing you the very best of luck in the future. Be sure to ask any questions that you may have, everyone here to help and very friendly.

Enjoy BYC :frow

Nice how your flock is growing! If you haven't already checked it out, take a look at the articles in the Learning Center (there's a section on ducks too). And meeting the members on your state thread can be really helpful for dealing with things on a more local basis.

Thanks for joining us, it's nice to have you here!
