Hello all!

My wife and I are new to keeping chickens, we are going to get our feathered friends next Spring! We live in Dixon, IL and we are allowed a max of 6 chickens with no roosters. I wanted to become a member to learn from everyone's experiences and offer my own as it gains value!

Welcome here you 2 . Great idea to get ideas and knowledge ahead of flock. I think 6 is a GREAT number to start with. Learn about climate effects ( heat and cold) on chickens. What breeds are good for that climate, etc. Good luck and ask anything.
