Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

Getting started with chickens can be a bit nerve wracking at first, these little feathered puppies don't come with a manual! :D But you will pick up things along the way and they are great at teaching you things if you pay enough attention. And what you can't figure out, there is always someone here that has had your question or issue! So just make yourself at home here and ask as many questions as needed. Welcome to our community!

He has turned our lives upside down and we adore him. The chickens are his new friends and he no longer wants to stay inside opting for going outside to play with (annoy the crap out of), the girls. We are me and my two teenagers. We have been through a lot and for the first time we have a home with a big back garden so we got a dog and some chickens - animals are so theraputic.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
Well, actually, I didn't know this forum existed. I typed into Google "Can you leave chicken feed and water inside the coop at night-time", and the first cab off the rank was this page with some responses - which were good by the way! LOL. Then I thought, well, I might just as well signup as I have absolutely no idea what I am doing and am terrified they will die on me because I know so little.
