hooray for the first egg. where in fla? so fla here my peeps are the suburban kind but they seem to be happy running around the backyard chasing lizards still waiting for my first eggs
 
Congrats on your first egg!!!! I was suprised with my first 2 weeks ago. I fell into raising chickens 1 month ago when I inherited 9 birds. All 6mo or younger. After all the work to build a coop and fence a yard for them, I felt it all worth it when I got that first one. A second hen started laying 3 days ago and so far only 1 from her. I'm getting 1 every other day now.
