Hello, brand new member. I've had chickens for about 3 years and probably been lurking on here for research and other information for about 4 years.

We just hatched eggs for the first time this spring. We got 18 eggs and hatched out 17 of them. So far I have been able to clearly identify 4 as cockerels. Now I have another that was crowing this afternoon and 3 more suspects that I'm hoping you all can help me with.

They are currently 8.5 weeks old and are barnyard mixes. The person we got the eggs from had Easter eggers, olive eggers, wyandotte, silkie, Australorp, maybe light brahma and some others. The eggs were blue, green, brown, cream and some lovely brown speckled as well.

I will try to get some better pictures if needed but here's what I have at the moment. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I just came here to admire your birds. They are so pretty! I have no idea on sexes, I personally just wait for crowing or egg laying, because mine were also a barnyard flock and it was so hard to tell with all the different combs and behaviors. All I know is you had better stay on #3's good side 😂

What pretty birds. I hope someone else can help you better than I can.

Here are a few more pics from today. If anyone has any insight. Also I added #4 but I'm pretty certain I heard and saw this one crow yesterday afternoon.
