New member , first time having chickens

Congrats on getting your babies outdoors! I have been trying to move my brooder Sapphire Gems outdoors, but northern Iowa is alternating between below-average fall temps and complete downpours. During their short outdoor field trips, it has been great watching them discover the joy of eating bugs and choosing just the right grass to eat.
Hope your chicks make a great transition and you enjoy the journey!

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

Congrats on your new babies! Yes, it sure is a big day when babies leave the brooder. I raise mine inside and get "empty nest syndrome" when they finally make that big move to the big coop. :p

If you have any questions about your birds along the way, be sure and ask us.

Welcome to our group! :)
