Howdy neighbor. I have 7 rhode island reds next door in Aloha. My first year with them. I love it.
 
Are you on the PDXBackyardChix yahoo group? If not you might look into it. Members are active with their posting and a lot of local knowledge and input to be shared. Have fun.

Thank you NW Red. you are really right next door:) I bought most of my birds and my coop from a lady in Dayton who could no longer keep them.My flock includes 5 RIRs.

I will look into the Yahoo group. I am bad about Yahoo groups for some reason. Webpage groups usually work better for me. But it sounds like that one is active so maybe I should try again! Thank you!
