Hello & welcome to BYC! To add on to what @Debbie292d said, I get my pine pellets from Tractor supply. They are the same price as the pine shavings there. Ever since I've started using pine pellets in my coop, it helped so much to decrease the humidity and ammonia odor. There's a lot of poo in the coop right now, which we have to clean out but cannot do so until it thaws out next week. But even with all that poop in there, the smell is not too bad compared to when I was using pine shavings.
