Hi everyone, this is my first year with roosters. They are Seramas and loud. I’ve tried to find homes but no success. So, I personally like rooster crows but I don’t know about my immediate neighbors. One has loud pom poms so not worried about them, but the others I am because my Roos crow literally ALL DAY LONG! 2 start at 5am!!! It’s still dark! What’s up with that?? Anyways. I have 3 Serama Roos and one hen. 5 full size chickens. I love them all but the noise level might be too much here in Aloha, Oregon. There are other roosters in my neighborhood but I don’t hear them crowing constantly. Mine are young though, hatched in August 2021.
Thoughts??

:frow Welcome from New Orleans @Chickie bee. They are probably attempting to assert their "manhood". as they get older they may quiet down some, however with that Roo to hen ratio I think you are in for some rooster fights and lots of crowing. I would keeping looking for homes and try to keep the ones you think will be best for your flock. Good Luck

Welcome! Glad you joined! :welcome

:welcome :frow I recently sold some loud young males who were crowing constantly. It was driving me nut. All of my other males are not big crowers they aren't bantams either. I would keep your best. We have a local farm swap and I take any birds I want to sell there and their are a lot of buyers that come through. You may want to try to re-home some through your local facebook or Craigslist or whatever, like your local feed stores. Good luck with your birds and have fun.
