Hello to all. We are fairly new chicken parents. We started with one about a year ago, and now have five. Only three of which are laying but the remaining two are not far off. My next project will be to build three side by side coops and runs to house the three "sets" of chickens we have. We used to have the original three together, but the first chicken mercilessly attacked the two younger chickens, so we separated them, so now I'll build three conjoined coops. Thanks for providing this very helpful site.

Sometimes they just don't get along and a permanent separation is needed. And it never hurts to have extra coops and runs to put new birds or others that need a temp place to stay.

I have no idea what breeds they are, they all began as feral chickens, and lots of cross breeding, so your guess is as good as any.

I found this old photo of my oldest girl from a while back. Maybe someone could give me some hint as to breed. She has absolutely beautiful Markings and each of her feathers have a black pattern in them. I've never seen any chicken quite so lovely. (Spoken like a true parent!)

Had my wife take a couple of shots with Henrietta in my lap. It shows her markings a little clearer. I looked through all the breeds on BYC but she doesn't really match any of them. I'm guessing it's all the cross breeding. Anyway if anyone has any idea, I'd love to hear it.

Hello I am from the Bahamas and have seen similar chickens here. I am wondering if I should invest the time in some feral ones. How well do yours lay, and what color egg? Any pictures of the eggs?
