New member from Calif!

Hi there Chicken Luvers!
I am a new member and backyard chicken luver from Calif! My girls Lena (Rhode Island Red) and Belle (Farm Hen) "usually" lay 1 egg a day. Belle is always the leader in the yard and with laying eggs too. Lena lays a lighter brown egg and Belle's is a darker brown, both usually the same size, although Belle has given double-yokes a couple of times. Most days we get 2 eggs a day from the girls which is more than our 2 person family can use. We share with our family and friends!

Thanks for your quick response! I loved your quote from ~Thoedore Roosevelt, U.S. President. It makes so much sense -"The conservation of natural resources is the fundamental problem. Unless we solve that problem it will avail us little to solve all others."
