New Member from Deep East Texas

Good evening. I am new to BYC, but have read bits here and there for tips and advice. I have a disproportionately small backyard flock of 10. I currently have 22 eggs incubating fo my first time hatching eggs (11 marans, 11 brahma). I have black copper marans hens and roosters and a few buff brahma hens, a light brahma rooster, and a huge black/dark brahma rooster (I think the breeder I got him from described him as having a lavender brahma parent). I expect to see some interesting crosses coming out of this group.


I’m pretty sure I’ll be asking questions in someone’s threads before the day is over. Thanks for having me.
