I am a female 56 years of age, I have a 1.0 husband and 1.1 grown children, 2.2 grandchildren.
My chicken life consists of 5 faverolles and 8 barnevelders - the latter very young, growing to get big enough to get out in the coop in the garden. 15 eggs of mixed origin in the incubator - barnevelders, marans, araucanas and crosses of these breeds + maran rooster.
The faverolles will be butchered in a few weeks and the barnevelders will inherit the coop then. They are going to stay there hopefully fo a long time laying eggs and being beautiful and happy chicks in my garden.
I am glad to be a member og backyardchickens, am already a member of the 'sister site' here in Denmark, I enjoy that a lot, much better than fb!
