I live on a small farm with horses, dogs and chickens. I started a barred rock flock this spring and will be processing my extra roosters the first weekend of June. I have built my own coop and run. I have built automatic chicken waters from 5 gallon buckets and chicken nipples. I live in East Texas so we have the challenge of keeping our chickens cool in the summer and safe from hogs. We even have bald eagles to watch out for. I love this website because so many people come up with awesome ideas for keeping chickens. I hope to be able to share some of mine.
