Hello, Everyone!
I started my first flock last March(2017), beggining with 12 day old chicks from TSC. I'm now up to 32 chickens and counting (today is hatch day from my first ever hatch!) My flock consists of 8 Rhode Island Reds(including my 1 roo), 5 ISA Browns, 3 Buff and 4 Lavender Orpingtons, 2 Australorps, 3 Black Sex Links, 2 Barred Rocks, 2 White Leghorns, 1 mix breed, 1 silkie and 1 silkie/bantum mix, And 23 eggs starting hatch today! The eggs are a mix so Im excited to see what they will come out to look like. I believe there is at least 1 egg from each breed in the batch except for the orpingtons who are not old enough to lay. 3 have hatched so far and they look to be full rhode island reds. I only have 1 roo so all the chicks to hatch will be half RIR.
