(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes I am new to chickens. Very new. LoL I have researched for about a year and finally took the plunge a few weeks ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have 6 chicks. Where I live I'm only allowed 6. Unfortunately I'm not allowed roosters so I won't be a rooster owner this year.
(3) What breeds do you have? I have one Cornish Rock, two Black Sex Links, two gold laced Wyandotte & one Isa Brown.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? The fact they are extremely useful in many ways other than eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Right now I am learning everything I can about homesteading. It started with growing my own food. LoL
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I have two boys. 20 & 6. I homeschool my toddler. We have two cats & one dog. I own my own business & sell things like goat milk soap, candles, essential oils, sourdough, wreaths, etc. Always adding new items to the menu. LoL
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
My friend told me about the site after I had started asking her questions about 3 weeks ago. I immediately looked BYC up and found out I would continue to come here because there's so much information. I'm excited to meet new friends & continue learning from the veterans!!
