Hello, Yvette, and welcome to BYC. Kauai is truly the 'chicken island'. We were there last year for our 55th wedding anniversary and I enjoyed the beautiful chickens that were everywhere.

thanks so much! I’m definitely interested in learning how to set up and care for our new chick. And also get a few more so she has some friends. I know someone selling silkies but I’m not sure if they’ll get along?? I’ll look for the answer here
