Bay shore is about 25 mins from me.

We currently have a red star, australorp and 2 barred rocks. We are expecting a buff Orpington and rhode island red this week.

You're welcome. You have a nice mixed flock. Australorps are my favorite standard breed. I've raised them for years (along with dozens of other breeds, including those on your list), and they are extremely hardy, calm and gentle (my children and granddaughter made lap pets of them), and excellent layers of large, brown eggs. Red Stars (Red Sex Links) are egg laying machines. You should get loads of eggs from that girl. )

Our Red star is definitely an egg machine. She lays an egg a day. I think she missed 2 days since she started laying last August.
