Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends

Thank you all for the warm welcome greetings! I am very new to raising a rooster and I'm finding this site to be very informative and fun!
Our rooster is a black silkies. He came to us from a rescue situation. He's had his share of troubles with his feet. He lost the center portion of one of his feet. So that foot only has the outer claws. The other foot has lost the front longest toe nail. However this has not stopped him. He still gets around very well. Took a bit for him to steady his balance at first though. But now he is non stop go lol!
After reading many stories here I am sure I've found a good community to come to for advice on how to keep my rooster healthy and happy. So please if anyone has any words of advice please feel free to pass along. I'm eager to hear from you all. Thanks again for warm welcome :) hope to hear from ya soon
