Hello everyone!

I found this site a few days ago while conducting some research. I am thinking about getting a small flock of egg chickens and was looking for info. What a fantastic site! Thanks to you guys and all the info on here, I now know what breed of chickens I want, what size coop I need to build for them, and all the details of chicken parenthood.

I look forward to interacting with you all as I venture into this. I'll keep youo all posted on my progress.

Hello and welcome to BYC! The recommended space per chicken is 4 square feet in the coop and 10 square feet for the run. Have fun and good luck!
