Hello all from Michigan. I was a city girl all my whole life, met and married a country boy and we lived in the city for 10 years. It was time to move out to better things, and I couldn't be happier about ditching the city. About 4 years ago my family finally found our dream home in the country with a beautiful 15 acres. I am a animal lover and have wanted chickens for a long time, finally got my first ones so I am new to all this but I am having the best time learning. We have a small flock of 7 right now but plan to add more. Waiting for our first egg!

We also have 7 cats, that follow me all over the property to help with all the chores, 3 dogs and 2 bearded Dragons ( they belong to my boys).

I have been following BYC for about 6 months now preparing for my flock and with answers to some of my questions and everyone has been very helpful. Glad to have such a great venue for information.
