Hi Everyone,
New here and new to chickens. I recently tried to incubate 12 eggs and everything that could go wrong did. power outage, temps consistently too low, two eggs burst (bacteria?), overheated at one point, and today I think the humidity was way too low ... yikes, I realized I had to join a forum like this for the chicks sake

. Today is day 22 and two chicks hatched and are drying in the incubator (SO excited) ... 2 out of 12... sigh. I had no idea how much I'd worry or mess up.
Lots to learn,
Karen

Hi

Welcome to BYC. Where are you up North? We vacation up in Pittsburg/colebrook area. I love Northern NH.

There is alot of great info on here about hatching. Do some reading and take notes. Sometimes you can do everything right and still have a poor hatch. Where did you get the eggs? Did you keep an eye on the temp and humidity through it all? I hope you try again
