I'm a new member and I look forward to sharing and learning from you all.I have obtained a sweet Silkie hen and a Silkie rooster that no one wanted. So far he is pretty kind to her. She just layed her first egg 3 days ago.

I've gotten an egg a day since then.

that's great for a silkie hen. Usually they lay a few eggs and then go broody. Since you have a roo, the eggs would be fertile.
