About their personalities… yeah. Dealing with my first batch, I’m surprised. I have a hybrid pullet that has decided she’s a parrot and I’m a pirate. Perches on me at every opportunity. It’s fun. Weird, but fun.
Love it! We have an Easter Egger that will do the same thing if you are sitting in a lawn chair.

Welcome to the coop! I use the Forums and Articles tabs at the top of the page to do research. You can get lost for hours. It's nice to know you are minutes away from getting help with questions and emergencies! I always check in the "What's New" section as well at the top of this page. This way I can read how I may have a similar question or help give some advice.

Thanks! I suspect that is the cause. I haven't seen anything that looks like mites/lice or nits on at the base of feathers. The Chicken Chick website has some really good pix to use for comparison and I see nothing like it on my own birds. My girls have a 7X4 covered run and a larger (7X15) uncovered run for space. However, their indoor roosting/nest box is smaller than I would like for 5 birds. I don't see excessive pecking during the day but they may be pecking in the morning if they aren't let out right away. I will post some pix later today just to get a few more eyes on the situation.
I bet they are pecking at night also. Before I converted a shed to a coop, I had a premanufactured coop. There was so much pecking going on at night.
