First thing, thanks for having me. This week is my baby chick week. I am filling my coop with new babies this year. The coop is being refurbished after sitting for 6 years empty. It has seen years of rescued chickens and ducks in the past. This year I purchased 18 new chicks. A handful of Easter Eggers, Rhode Island Reds, Black Australorps, and a few Leghorns. Hubby is building a new run. And we are adding a courtyard for them. I am excited to get them in the coop in a few weeks. I’ve spent the last few days hand feeding them and letting them know I am their friend and protector. This is so exciting to be retired this year and have time to hang out with the flock. We named the coop Hickory Hill Hen House In 2008. This is going to be a great year with the new flock. So I am off to do some more work on the coop this evening. Won’t be long they are going to be moving in And out of my basement powder room! 😄🤗
