Hi all long time lurker not sure why i never subscribed before? Im in SoCal orange county. But finally did and am very excited!!
Ive owned chickens for about 2 years. My addiction first started with a sweet golden laced pullet and mixed roo. She sadly was killed by my dog (she was preggers) but i now own 2 EE 1rir 1delaware roo 1cochin(who is currently broody of course) and an incubator with eggs. Im also going to be incubating some bantam polish frizzle eggs, bbs ameraucana, and lavender ameraucanas and lavender OE. Ill be sure to post some pics of the chicks when they hatch. Srry for the long post :p

Welcome!

Love the Cochin reference "who is currently broody, of course". I have bantam Cochins [Pekins] who spend more time broody than anything else

BUT they are awesome mums.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out

and this is Mary. Funny story i bought her from a feed store as a "ameraucana" back when i didnt know about EEs. I bout 4 chicks and was assured they were pullets since their hatchery sells them 90% pullets and im guessing i somehow managed to pick out 3 roos and her the only pullet. And on top of all that she lays brown eggs not the green/blue eggs i was assured she would lay. But i still love her no matter what shes such a sweety!
