Hello everyone!
I found this forum on google and since I am a forum addict I decided to join in on all the fun. I have had chickens off and on for a couple years now but never was happy with th breeds I had until I found silkies. I now have 17 silkies with a few oddballs thrown in of 1 cochin banty rooster and 4 red sex link hens and 1 new hampshire red hen. I ended up with the rooster and 5 hens because they were all tore apart when they were sent in to a Tractor Supply and they were just going to throw them out if they didn't make it. I felt sorry for them and brought them home. They have mainly been a hobby for me, I have not gotten into poultry shows, but knowing me, I probably will.
I also raise AMHR registered miniature horses and hackney ponies, I have 7 currently. Mainly I compete in driving and jumping with the horses, but also enjoy the halter classes.
I am also the proud owner of two rottweilers and one walker coonhound pup.
