Hi my name is Lori and I'm from Valley Mills Texas! We have 8 (4 hens and 4 roosters) chickens of various breeds and 3 (2 hens and 1 Mallard) ducks in our flock. Been raising the ducks for 3 years now and quite happy with them. They are so much fun to watch. Not great egg producers but they are so tasty when we get them. As to the chickens this is the start of the second year with them. 2 Astrolorp hens and 2 mix between Spotted Sussex and Astrolorp hens. Great egg layers. As to the roosters they are mixes between Astrolorp, and Spotted Sussex hens, and a banty rooster (who unfortunately is no longer with us). I've been reading about your groups' posts on Pinterest and really enjoy learning about all things chickens and ducks.

Hi Lori! It's nice to have you here! Are you planning on keeping all your roosters? I mean if they all get along and they aren't stressing out your hens, why not?
