For the last two years I've been wanting to raise chickens. Sadly unincorporated dupage only allows it if you have 5+acers or one Acer and are part of 4h. Sadly I'm in neither one of those. So here's the question, how do you go about getting the ordnance changed? There's a bunch of towns surrounding that allow back yard chicken keeping. And I feel like being unincorporated the rules shouldn't be as struck as they are. My surrounding neighbors are all great we all talk frequently and have had zero issues within the last 5yrs, I feel like they'd be okay with it. Personally I feel like if its alright with your neighbors you should be able to keep a couple hens. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.
