Hello all my chicken lovers! I am a new member from Windsor, MA which is located in Berkshire County in western MA. I have 3 Golden Comet chickens. I had 4 but Mr. Fox visited and took Barbie away. I have had my girls since May 2014.

My girls are used their sisters, two crazy boxer dogs who have leaned to ignore them. This is my first experience with chickens and I am learning as I go. My girls make me laugh when they start running to me when I call them, the way chickens run is very unique! They do wish it was warmer, 13 degrees this morning, but their coop is insulated. I will have to show you pictures of the coop my husband made for me. It is like a 5 star hotel!

I am excited to learn more and hope to add to my family in the spring.

Be careful with dogs around chickens. But boxers are generally good with birds.
