Hello, I am getting back into raising chickens after a few years off due to having babies but now they are old enough( 6&3) to appreciate watching something grow from only a few days old. The one thing I agonized over was to vaccinate or not to vaccinate for Marek's disease. I did finally call and have that added to my order after coming up empty every where I looked for detailed information on the disease and the necessity of vaccination. does anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks

We were up in the air about vacs too but decided to do it. I think it's a personal choice. For us we just didn't want to take chances. I am sure there are others with more experience or a thread you can search for on the topic

Welcome to the BYC!
I was up in the air about the vaccination thing too.
We decided not to vaccinate as we are trying to go as
natural as possible. We wanted to breed resistance to
diseases, and not have to vaccinate every chick we ever
hatched.
Hope you have fun on here.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome

, yea, as I said before I went ahead and had my chicks vaccinated just to be safe, it seems like the right thing to do.I can't wait to get the additions to the family.
