(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I've helped my family raise chickens for a little less then 10 years when we moved out to a rural area.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
24 chickens with some other animals like ducks and geese
(3) What breeds do you have?
Several: black star, leghorn, rhode Island red, olive egger, turken and more
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
When I exit the house and the girls come running over expecting snacks, definitely have them spoiled.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Baking, long walks, listening to music, reading and video gaming.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
One younger brother and two amazing parents, three guinea pigs, just got my animal husbandry degree and hoping to work with cattle soon.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I've heard of the site for years, as I know my dad used to use it and I've searched through some of the threads before for questions I've had myself but decided to stop lurking and become a member.
