Hi everybody! My name is Paige and I'm new here! I look forward to all future interactions with y'all!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes! We are, we first got chickens around 2.5 weeks
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 24 (I know, a lot for our first time, though I think my dad owned chickens as a kid)
(3) What breeds do you have?
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I've seen the sight multiple times now, mostly when trying to figure out the sex of the Silver Sebrights! I do want them both to be female, but I get the feeling that Nike is a male, but that's alright. I'll love them all the same!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I crochet, play tennis, read, and a lot of other hobbies. My hobby is hobbies. Also, I like to take pictures, so I dabble in photography (Got some good pics of our little chickies!)
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I go to school right now, majoring in French, and hopefully with move to South Korea within the next year to teach English. I live at home, with my parents and my sister. We have a dog named Gruffudd (pronounced Griffith), who guards the chicks from our cat (named Little Jay, nicknamed Mr. Nibbles). My sister owns a few leopard geckos, one crested gecko, and a bearded dragon (given to us because the owner's landlord no longer wanted her having a bearded dragon). We moved out to the country about a year ago now (Due to circumstance, will not go into). And, after mowing down the yard to a walk-able height, we now have chickens to help us get rid of all those wolf spiders! That's not the reason we wanted them, but it sure is nice that they're eating them (I hate spiders). I'll post pictures of our chicks if you want! I love our little chickies and would be more than happy to share their adorableness with y'all!
