Hi, From far N. Ca. here where it not only gets hot as hell but has many fires as well. I am not new to chickens and have had many chickens at different times in my past just for egg laying for consuming eggs. But recently I ventured into breeding for sale for show and pets. Currently sitting at my computer in my room next to my incubator listening to two tiny golden d'uccle chicks that just hatched during the night last night. All my chickens have their own yards, meaning, all my egg layers for egg eating have their own yard they consist of americuanas, bared rocks, silver laced wyandottes. I also have a grow out yard that has become the bantam assortment yard, with sebrights, silkies, part silkie/d'uccle I just added in four more grow outs, two more brahmas, a russian orloff, and two Sicilian buttercups, then I have a private pen for my seramas, another yard for my straight purbred silkies, another yard for golden d'uccles, and another yard for my ayam cemanis. So you can see my interest in chickens is more creative, I like variety and I love to study their behavior and sound associations and what the different sounds mean. I also love to compare the differences in their behavior between the different breeds. I spend a lot of time with them.
