(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I just got my own chicks for the first time! I have been around chickens on and off since I was little though.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

9 chicks

(3) What breeds do you have?

Rhode Island Reds, Cuckoo Marans, Easter Eggers, and a mystery mix

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?

Watching their behavior and the eggs of course

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Gardening, Hiking, Cooking

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I share a home with my significant other and our 10 month old son. We have a Husky.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D

I found the site by googling questions I had about my chicks about 2 weeks ago. I decided to join so I can ask my questions directly.

Welcome to the BYC forum. We are so Egg-cited you joined. You find invaluable learning information and experience interactive subjects. Look around and Learn all you can.
So, glad you joined. Don't forget to consider purchasing a gorgeous calendar or other items from our store.

Welcome you'll find lot of helpful wisdom on here so don't be shy. We all needed to learn too. You have a good number of hens, I have a small flock rhode island, specked sussex, black australorp, and two sex links. Your eggs will be beautiful when they start :thumbsup laying
One more thing get them used to you early on ...it really helps when they're older . I see you have a busy schedule but get them used to your voice and hand feed when they get a little older.
