Hy,
Well of course I'm new here. Great site and forum. A little bit about me. I live in an Island paradise (Puerto Rico). I'm a hobby gardner and animal lover. I have 11 chickens 2 roosters 2 Ducks 1 Geese and 5 dogs. Just trying to learn as much as possible. Trying to better understand nutrition, egg laying. So any tips are always welcomed. Also having problems with water nipples seem to always leak anyone having the same problem? Here are some photos of the girls (and guys)

Hi and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us. I do use nipples, but never had an issue with them leaking around the seal - sure, there's some leakage from the chickens drinking from them, but thats about all, in my experience. Maybe use some plumbers PTFE tape around the screw fitting?

More generally, you'll find lots of info in the Learning Centre - https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/category/learning-center.11/ and if you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

Each week, various topics are discussed, which can also be a great resource - https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/topic-of-the-week-thread-archive

if the leaking you have is coming from AROUND the area where the nipples are screwed in, then I agree with using the plumber's tape, or you can also use plumber's putty - just take a small ball of it and roll it into a tube shape that you can wrap around the hole and re-screw the nipple on. Scrape away any putty that squishes out too much and once it dries it is good to go.

If you have a leak that is coming from WITHIN the nipple itself then I have no idea other than to try a different brand of nipples

Thanks all for the repply. The leaking is from the nipple itself. Any brand that you recommende?? I bought 10 from store in Amazon and all 10 leak
I use nipples both inside and then have a pipe extending through a hole in the coop to the outside with more nipples attached.
We also had a couple leaking.
We replaced them.
Problem solved.
