New member, hen obsessed, peacock question

We used to have 3 peacocks--2 female and 1 male--here in suburbia. Because the male had no competition he was a happy camper. The only time he was noisy was during mating season. Otherwise they were all pretty quiet. As far as we were concerned, he made less noise than our neighbors constantly barking dogs and the four-wheelers the neighbors would run around in their yards. Two sides of the birds pen area was bordered by a 6' privacy fence, and we ran the flight netting so it would go higher than that in the middle. The male needs a good 6-6.5' height when he spreads out his tail feathers. Hope this helps.

 

Sounds like you have a pretty backyard. Im very tempted.
