Hi all, new member here from the foothills of NC. Starting off this spring with a first time flock. 4 Ameraucanas and 2 unknowns (Australorps I think). They're healthy and growing fast, got them for eggs and entertainment. Also have a cat and an an inside/outside Border Collie that sits at the door and watches "his" chickens. When a neighbors cat sits too close to the coop, he chases them off. Funny thing is he lets "his" cat watch "his" chickens.

Sounds like you have a wonderful little group of animals! North Carolina foothills, wow, I think I am jealous! Beautiful part of the USA for sure.
Lots of other "first timers" on here this year so you have lots of company in this coop
