(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am pretty new to chickens. My first round of incubation was in mid April and it was 6 peahen eggs and 9 chicken eggs.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I don't technically have any chickens. I am just incubating various kinds of eggs for my landlord who happens to also be my neighbor.

(3) What breeds do you have?
I honestly don't have any idea what breeds of chicken eggs I have incubated in the past or the ones im currently incubating. I have also incubated indian blue peafowl eggs, and I'm currently incubating Guinea eggs.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Well, I'm not technically raising them. I just keep them while they're real young and then I transition them to their forever home at my neighbors house. But I absolutely love watching them incubate and hatch and just the whole "new life" process. I think it's fascinating, super interesting, and absolutely beautiful.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I like to garden. I especially love growing succulents and cacti. I love any and all animals, basically, and the responsibility that comes with caring for them. I also play all sorts of instruments.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am happily married, and have been together 10 and a half years. We don't have any children yet. I have 2 cats. My husband is self employed. He runs a fertilizer sprayer (titan 4040 floater machine) and my job is to help him with the accounting/paperwork side of his job.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC just by googling things about incubating peachicks and trying to learn everything I could. So I've known about BYC for just a little over 2 months. I finally joined just to be able to post and ask any questions I may have for future incubation, future hatching, or anything else really.

Nice to meet all of you!
