Hi! My name is Sam. I live in Julian, Ca. I have 5 almost two year old chickens that I bought as pullets. 1 east egger, 1 rhode island red, 1 sex link, and then 2 that are black and I don't know the breed.

This year I decided to get day old chicks and raise them. I have 2 barred rocks, 2 rhode island reds, and 2 easter egger. I love them so much and it has been soooooo stressful. I am constantly scared they are going to die.
I look forward to asking questions and learning more over the next couple of weeks.

I'd tell you to relax, Sam, but some of us are just hardwired to worry, I think. I have brooded more chicks, ducklings and goslings than I care to admit to, and I STILL worry every morning that I will find them all dead when I get up to check on them (Just for the record, that has NEVER happened!).

I'm sure you're taking good care of your babies, and there are so very many people here willing and able to help you with any and all challenges.
