(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I'm not new to chickens. We've had chickens for a long time while I was growing up.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Probably around 12. They are free range.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Rhode Island Red, Red Sexlink, Smokey Pearl.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love to watch them and also love to sell their eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, we grow and sell a variety of crops every year. Landscaping, I love growing and adding new bushes, flowers, and fruit crops to my yard. We also have turkeys and peacocks.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a married woman with 2 little boys. We live next to my family and we have a lot of land to farm on. We have a variety of pets and farm animals. I'm hoping to grow our pets and livestock!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC when I googled a question about my turkeys.
