Hello all,

I am seeking advise. I live in the San Antonio area actually Live Oak Texas and came home yesterday to a citation warning on my door that I am not allowed to have chickens. I researched before venturing into this idea and found county codes instead of local. Of course everyone around us can have up to 3 chickens however the 1986 code for live oak does not. I have 30 days to fight this ordinance or return my chickens. I found a publication on step by step and this is the first place they told me to go. I need numbers, in order to fight (change) this ordinance to accept up to 3 in a back yard I need more people behind me than just myself and family. So here I am, can anyone help?

Sincerely,

LHays

Oh, I am SO sorry! Here is a link to our forums, Chicken Laws and How To Change Them. You will get lots of support and information on how to go about changing the laws. I don't know anything about changing them, but I sure hope you are able to keep your birds.
